This book specifically not only reveals the story of Roesmanhadi, who fought to lead the Indonesian National Police (Polri) amid the intense winds of reform and the pressure for Polri to separate from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (ABRI), but also delves deeper into the domestic realm that has long been overlooked by the public. At that time, people may have only known him on the surface: a public figure whose face frequently appeared on television screens and graced the pages of newspapers and magazines. Not many knew that to reach the peak of his career, he had to traverse a long and winding path.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born in Porong on March 5, 1946, this four-star general was a graduate of the Indonesian Police Academy (PTIK), class of 1974, Batch XI Bhakti. He served as the 14th Chief of Police from July 3, 1998, to January 4, 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a humble demeanor, Roesmanhadi was a general who started his career from scratch. He was born into a police family: his father was a member of the Special Police (the precursor to Brimob) from Bangkalan, Madura. From a young age, Roesmanhadi was obsessed with joining the Military Academy (AMN).
